The question of whether the early visual cortex (EVC) is involved in mental imagery remains a topic debate. In this paper, I propose that inconsistency findings can be explained by unique challenges associated with investigating EVC activity during imagery. During perception, processes low-level features, which means highly sensitive to variation details. If has same role imagery, any change details image would lead corresponding changes activity. Within context, should not ‘active’ but how its relates specific properties. Studies using methods are features reveal recruit similar ways as perception. Multimodal brain signal analysis has shown great potential in decoding complex cognitive processes, particularly the challenging task of inner speech recognition. This paper introduces an innovative I nner Speech Recognition via Cross-Perception (ISRCP) approach that significantly enhances accuracy by fusing electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Our comprises three core components: (1) multigranularity encoders separately process EEG time series, Markov Transition Fields, fMRI spatial data; (2) a cross-perception expert structure learns both modality-specific shared representations; (3) attention-based adaptive fusion strategy dynamically adjusts contributions different modalities based on relevance. Extensive experiments Bimodal Dataset Inner demonstrate our model outperforms existing methods across F1 score.

Abstract Missing pixel imputation is a critical task in image processing, where the presence of high percentages missing pixels can significantly degrade performance downstream tasks such as segmentation and object detection. This paper introduces novel approach for based on Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). We propose new GAN architecture incorporating an identity module sperm motility-inspired heuristic during filtration to optimize selection used reconstructing data. The intelligent motility navigates image’s space, identifying most influential neighboring accurate imputation. Our includes three essential modifications: (1) integration within mitigate vanishing gradient problem; (2) introduction metaheuristic algorithm select top 10 that effectively contribute generation pixel; (3) implementation adaptive interval mechanism between discriminator’s actual value weighted average selected pixels, enhancing generator’s efficiency ensuring coherence imputed with surrounding context. evaluate proposed method distinct datasets (Energy Images, NREL Solar Wind Turbine Dataset), demonstrating its superior maintaining integrity process. experiments also confirm approach’s effectiveness addressing everyday challenges GANs, mode collapse gradients, across various architectures.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has revolutionized our understanding of brain activity by non-invasively detecting changes in blood oxygen levels. This review explores how fMRI is used to study mind-reading processes adults. A systematic search was conducted across Web Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Studies were selected based on strict inclusion exclusion criteria: peer-reviewed; published between 2000 2024 (in English); focused adults; investigated (mental state decoding, brain-computer interfaces) or related processes; employed various techniques (pattern classification, multivariate analysis, decoding algorithms). highlights the critical role uncovering neural mechanisms mind-reading. Key regions involved include superior temporal sulcus (STS), medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), temporoparietal junction (TPJ), all crucial for mentalizing (understanding others' mental states). emphasizes importance advancing knowledge interprets states. Significant progress has been made in the field of image reconstruction using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Certain investigations reconstructed images with visual information decoded from brain signals, yielding insufficient accuracy and quality. The combination semantic was recommended to improve performance. However, this issue continues come across numerous difficulties. To address such problems, we proposed an approach that combines semantically complex details for reconstruction. Our method consists two main modules: In module, is data a decoder.
