To provide a comprehensive review on the global scientific research status of comorbid pain and inflammation from 1981 to 2019 capture its subsequent development trends. Data Sources. The primary database chosen collect publications was Web Science (WOS). Core search strategy key word "pain" "inflammation" in medical subject headings' major field. Study Selection. All articles retrieved were included bibliometric analysis. Extraction. We used CiteSpace analyze publication outputs, categories, distribution by country/institution/journal, other types information. Then, knowledge base, hot issues, future directions explained. Synthesis. A total 2887 papers met inclusion criteria our research. Linear regression analysis results showed that studies significantly increased (P < 0.001) have grown about 192 times 40 years. countries with most outputs USA (886 publications), China (375 England (236 publications).
