Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) are chronic, autoimmune connective tissue diseases associated with significant morbidity and disability. Nutrients can activate the immune system contribute to chronic low-grade inflammation (LGI). Chronic muscle leads imbalanced pro-inflammatory anti-inflammatory cytokines, causing inadequate nutrition, weight loss weakness during a negative cycle. Owing its potential modulate LGI in various diseases, Mediterranean diet (Med Diet) has been extensively studied. This scoping review explores nutritional implications recommendations of Med Diet as treatment for immune-mediated focusing on gaps IIM interventions. A comprehensive literature search MEDLINE EBSCO databases between September 2018 December 2022 was performed. We identified that specific components, such omega-3 (nω3) fatty acids, vitamin D antioxidants, play role dietary tissue-related diseases. Nutritional interventions have demonstrated modulating disease activity warrant further exploration IIMs through experimental studies. introduces therapeutic approach using related compounds regulate processes IIMs. However, clinical studies required evaluate efficacy patients Emphasising clinical-nutritional approach, this study encourages future research effects highlights insights managing treating these conditions holistic approach.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative worldwide and seriously affects quality of life elderly patients. PD characterized by loss dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra as well abnormal accumulation α-synuclein neurons. Recent research has deepened our understanding gut microbiota, revealing that it participates pathological process through gut-brain axis, suggesting may be source PD. Therefore, studying relationship between microbiota crucial for improving disease's prevention, diagnosis, treatment. In this review, we first describe bidirectional regulation axis mechanisms underlying involvement their metabolites We then summarize different species found patients with correlations clinical symptoms. Finally, review comprehensive animal human studies on treating fecal transplantation (FMT), discussing challenges considerations associated treatment approach.
