The construction of an ecological security pattern (ESP) is important undertaking in ensuring the stability ecosystem and long-term growth humanity. Existing research, However, existing research often overlooks quantification policy implications ESP development. objective this paper was to bridge gap by integrating analysis (PQA) with nature, society into providing targeted management recommendations. texts were quantified reusable data, which served as a foundation for selection indicators optimization patterns, using machine learning techniques. methodology "Patch-matrix-corridor" used create spatially correlated pattern. Through factor Random Forest (RF), impact each indicator on thoroughly examined, offering substantial support development planning. Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA) selected study area, found that: (1) proposed framework PQA based-ESP could provide useful eco-management tools. (2) Policy adaptability had environmental GBA, but service index has highest impact. (3) Applying framework, we identified total 1,993 km2 sources, 23 key corridors, 58 general 31 nodes. An improved ESP, characterized "one circle, two bays, three rivers, multiple areas, nodes," constructed GBA. (4) Given multi-scale analysis, tailored recommendations city study's findings offer actionable solutions international community facing growing challenges.

China's coastal zones, characterized by their ecological vulnerability and significant economic growth, demand effective water conservation management. Such management is pivotal not only for safeguarding resources but also ensuring stability promoting sustainable socio-economic development. In this study, based on the balance model, spatiotemporal dynamics of in ecosystems areas from 2001 to 2021 were three dimensions: overall, zonal, raster. The results show that: ① distribution pattern ecosystem "high south low north", with a total amount 117.726 billion m3/a, Pearl River Delta Southwest Coastal Areas as main high-value areas, overall its capacity " decreasing-rising-decreasing" pattern. fluctuating trend "falling-rising-falling". Additionally, varied significantly among different vegetation types across marine-terrestrial gradients, highest recorded evergreen coniferous forests situated 140 km coastline. ②From 2021, exhibited temporal patterns spatial differentiation along gradient. research suggests that these change are intricately linked stages regional development strategies construction within zones. ③In mere 11.63 % rasters showed changes conservation, dominated highly increases, mainly Southeast Area, Areas, Bohai Bay Area. This included such Yangtze silty plain area, sandy silt hilly terrace area western Guangdong Guinan, other China protection forest system projects. ④ Water function demonstrates profound interconnection both natural determinants. Natural elements elevation, slope, precipitation positively correlate metrics. Conversely, evapotranspiration temperature inversely related outcomes. terms social factors, has negative correlation GDP density population density, GDP2 density.

Rural revitalization is gaining increasing attention from scholars and policymakers. In this context, the study delves into essence of rural a symbiotic perspective, crafting dynamic evaluation model grounded in speed characteristic model. This comprehensively accounts for both velocity acceleration revitalization. Additionally, utilized to assess performance various provinces China 2011 2020. The findings are as follows: From static clear regional disparities level evident. development each subsystem varies significantly. Ecological livability, life affluence, effective governance exhibited higher levels than overall revitalization, whereas civilization industrial prosperity demonstrated lower there an positive trend revitalization; however, rates vary widely among provinces. Areas with experienced slower development, those faster development.

Abstract Effective landscape management is vital for maximizing the availability of ecosystem service functions (ESF). However, how pattern simultaneously affects multiple ESF across time and space, specifically regarding changes in their relationships, has not been comprehensively evaluated. Accordingly, current study examines dynamic impact on interactions among ES trade-offs China's Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 1990 to 2020. Five key are evaluated: carbon sequestration (CS), food supply (FS), habitat quality (HQ), water retention (WR), soil conservation (SC). The geographical temporal weighted regression model adopted analyze these relationships influenced by over 30 years. Over past three decades, overall amounts FS, WR, SC have increased, with only WR exhibiting a sustained increasing trend, while CS HQ significantly decreased. trade-off coordination effects generally transitioned synergies, CS–FS change more pronounced, shifting weak (− 0.29) synergies (0.20). Significant spatial variations were also observed. Most ESF. Specifically, composition stronger influence ecosystems than configuration; however, diverse often inconsistent, requiring decision-makers continuously balance management. impacts between other (CS–SC, HQ–SC, WR–SC) consistent, most prominent CS–SC. This suggests that exerts comparatively steady CS, benefiting contributions regional land parcels. These results underscore intricate responses inter-ecosystem need Cumulatively, this provides crucial guidance policymakers designing effective policies mitigate ecological degradation.

Introduction The marine economy has played an important role in stabilizing national economic growth and ensuring security. Achieving high-quality sustainable development of the is a strategic task for China to build maritime power. Confronting various risk factors such as financial crises, natural disasters, geopolitical conflicts, industrial transformation, public health security, etc., resilience (MER) received widespread attention recent years considered be crucial economy. Methods This study takes 11 coastal provinces cases, integrates 6 condition variables by building Resistance capability-Recovery capability-Renewal capability (3R) configuration model, uses fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) approach empirically explore effect between multiple land MER. Results discussion (1) None conditions three dimensions resistance capability, recovery renewal alone constitute necessary strong or weak MER, indicating that single explanatory power MER; (2) There are two configurations MER: Strong Resistance-Recovery Type Comprehensive Type. Industrial structure, governmental digital core MER configurations; (3) four configurations: Weak Type, Recovery-Renewal I, II. may expand research scope influencing enriching perspective land-sea integration, well providing decision-makers with practical policy implications.

As two spatial geographic units that are both independent of each other and closely linked, the land sea have complex interactions. Therefore, China implements land-sea coordination policy (LSC) needs to be approached from a more macroscopic, systematic comprehensive perspective. Based on interregional externality theory, this study takes as an example, focuses interaction process manifestation between sea, then explores connotation realization path LSC. Firstly, we delineated unit analyzed interactions (LSI) using Vensim software. Secondly, characteristics manifestations LSI summarized perspective externalities. Finally, elucidates foundational concept implementing LSC further propose actionable pathways for promoting development in coordinated way, aimed at offering supportive decision-making insights achieving within broader framework China’s territorial planning. Initiating implementation involves strategies such source control, management, interface optimization. Deepening effectiveness entails strengthening positive externalities while mitigating negative
