ABSTRACT Cancer, a leading global health concern, is characterized by uncontrolled proliferation of cells, high invasion into surrounding tissues, and eventual metastasis to distant organs. The complexity cancer further amplified diverse cellular components within the tumor microenvironment (TME), encompassing both cancerous non‐cancerous cells that fuel tumorigenesis progression. Schwann (SCs), main glial peripheral nervous system, have emerged as crucial TME in development. Here, we summarize multifaceted roles SCs growth, epithelial‐mesenchymal transition, perineural invasion, chemotherapy resistance. This review focuses on effects eight distinct types, particularly pancreatic, lung, colorectal cancers, along with cancer‐related pain, one most common symptoms affect quality life prognosis patients. Furthermore, emphasize therapeutic potential delving advanced technologies clinical strategies related SCs, which make us advocate for research elucidate events molecular mechanisms underlying SC‐cancer relationship. Translating these insights applications may offer new hope improved management patient outcomes.
