Abstract In order to solve the problems of high performance and small size incompatibility, as well limited bandwidth, traditional polarization filters in optical communication systems, this work presents an all-fiber filter using dual elliptical gold layer deposited photonic crystal fiber by finite element tool. The layers are plated on inside two holes create surface plasmon resonance effect, which cause signal intensity x-polarized direction be much greater than that y-polarized direction. simulation results illustrate when hole-to-hole pitch Λ is 2.0 μ m, cladding hole diameter d 1 inner-holes’ 2 0.3 spacing between inner-holes s 0.755 major axis length a minor b 0.97 thin t 100 nm, proposed PCF exhibits good filtering at wavelength 1.55 where confinement loss x- 303.91 dB cm −1 0.06 , respectively. crosstalk operating bandwidth improve with increment device’s length, 800 m-long possesses maximum −211.14 600 nm. Finally, experimental scheme also discussed. We believe can play significant role communication, sensing, spectral analysis, other related fields.
