The aim of this study was to evaluate the predictive value constructs proposed by two influential theoretical frameworks: Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) and Big Five (B5) model personality in predicting health-related coping behavior during SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Both adaptive (i.e., preventive) maladaptive avoidant wishful thinking) measured. conducted first wave sample consisted 397 persons from general Polish population. findings provided strong support for PMT constructs' value, especially with regard pandemic-related behavior.
