The study explores the multitasking information behavior of professionals and its relationship with individual factors such as polychronicity task coordination. This quantitative utilized a questionnaire survey targeting Library Information Science (LIS) working in Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized universities Punjab Islamabad, Pakistan. A total 346 responses were collected from 502 LIS professionals, resulting response rate 68.9%. Regression analyses applied using SPSS to examine factors. findings revealed that significantly influenced behavior, individuals exhibiting polychronic nature more likely engage while handling queries. Additionally, individuals’ ability rationally integrate multiple tasks contributed among professionals. will add new knowledge MIB literature, contribute optimizing practices. improve productivity, decision-making, well-being libraries centers. Developers can create interfaces align users’ cognitive styles preferences, leading user-friendly efficient technologies.
