As recent evidence shows the prevalence and transmission of Aeromonas species in Southwest Asia, there is no updated information on characteristics Iran, we conducted this review. We systematically searched biomedical databases (PubMed, Web Sciences, Scopus, SID, ISC, Google Scholar) to identify relevant studies investigating prevalence, antibiotic resistance, main reservoirs aquatic animals human clinical specimens during 2000–2023 Iran. Cochrane's Q test I^2 statistical was used assess heterogeneity, publication bias assessed using funnel plots random effects tests. In among 8347 samples 1802 animal food samples, only 87 (1.04%) 388 (21.53%) were positive for spp. respectively, most isolated A. hydrophila. The reservoir twenty-four genera besides minced meat, pigeon stool chicken meat. isolates showed maximum resistance ampicillin, tetracycline, nalidixic acid vancomycin. heterogeneity or products significant (88.1256, (5), P-value < 0.0001) rate 97.34% with a confidence interval 0.2–4.3 (194.02, (10), 94.85% 15,124 − 33,335 respectively. According these results, it essential exclusive attention different provinces Furthermore, special planning should be done prevention, outbreak control proper treatment infections aquaculture industry societies.
