Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among all ages; despite the advances, understanding pathophysiological responses after TBI is still complex, involving multiple mechanisms. Previous reviews have focused on potential targets; however, research targets has continuously grown in last five years, bringing even more alternatives elucidating previous Knowing key updated pathophysiology concepts vital for adequate management better outcomes. This article underlying molecular mechanisms, latest updates, future directions pathophysiology-based management.

Migraine is a widespread and intricate neurological condition that involves various factors marked by recurring headache episodes. among the ten conditions accounting for greatest disability in whole population, leading cause of children adolescents aged 5–19 years, second adults 20–59 years. Magnesium deficiency also very common resulting from diverse reasons, including insufficient dietary consumption or increased loss through gastrointestinal renal system. Accumulated evidence case reports, case–control studies, observational randomized, placebo-controlled trials has shown effectiveness magnesium supplementation alleviating migraine, both acutely chronically. Mechanisms may help explain these results include potential link between deficit spreading cortical depression, vascular changes, oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, nervous excitation, neurotransmitter release, electrolyte imbalances. This article aims to provide comprehensive review available on links considering role pathogenesis migraine utility its prevention treatment.

Gatekeeper or accomplice? That is the paradoxical role of blood-brain barrier (BBB) in developing brain metastasis (BM). BM occurs when cancerous cells from primary cancer elsewhere body gain ability to metastasize and invade parenchyma despite formidable defense BBB. These metastatic manipulate BBB's components, changing them gatekeepers accomplices that aid their progression into tissue. This dual BBB-as both a protective system potential facilitator cells-highlights its complexity. Even with therapy such as chemotherapy, usually recurs due BBB limiting crossing drugs via efflux transporters; therefore, treatment efficacy limited. The pathophysiology also complex, our understanding interplay between components still needs be improved. However, advancements clinical research are helping bridge knowledge gap, which essential for effective therapy. By targeting neurovascular unit polarization microglia, astrocytes, pericytes, by utilizing technological tools like focused ultrasound transiently disrupt therapeutic nanoparticles improve drug delivery efficiency tissue, we can better address this pathology. narrative review delves latest literature analyze manifestation explores avenues BBB-tumor cell interaction.

Substance P (SP), a neuropeptide predominantly expressed in neurons of the central nervous system (CNS), including retina, functions as neuromodulator, and neurotransmitter. It is particularly significant context neurodegenerative diseases such Parkinson’s disease (PD). Emerging evidence also highlights critical role SP various retinal diseases, vitreoretinopathy, vein occlusion, sympathetic inflammatory responses, diabetic retinopathy. Understanding distribution function retina therefore essential for elucidating its roles both normal physiology pathological conditions. This review summarizes recent advancements study receptor, with focus on their distribution, physiological roles, involvement pathologies.
