The ovary plays a crucial role in the female reproductive system of insects and is vital for perpetuation insect populations. insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling (IIS) target rapamycin (TOR) network play key controlling ovarian development maturation during adult stage. However, pupal stage critical developmental phase holometabolous insects, regulatory IIS/TOR this remains to be elucidated. In study, we observed that stage, enlargement was accompanied by corresponding increase messenger RNA expression levels genes within pathway insulin hemolymph. Decapitation experiments, serving as pivotal approach assess IIS development, demonstrated decapitation markedly inhibited at Exogenous administration significantly increased phosphorylation FOXO, S6K, 4E-BP, thereby enhancing resulting significant elongation ovarioles. contrast, injection inhibitors, LY294002 Rapamycin, reduced these proteins, inhibiting leading shortening ovarioles, negatively impacting performance females. current findings indicate regulates Spodoptera frugiperda, providing new molecular insights pest management strategies.
