In the present report, we employed a single-step simpler pyrolytic process for synthesizing magnetic graphene nanosheets (m-GNS) using expired iron-supplemented tablets. The microscopic morphological results showed formation of multilayered doped with iron oxide nanoparticles that impart behavior. m-GNS are used here as advanced oxidative materials to break down an azo dye named acid orange 7 (AO7). presence sunlight, rate photodegradation AO7 is seven times faster than under artificial light (visible and infrared), which significantly advocates influence sunlight. Based on trapping experiments, production hydroxyl radicals sunlight has majorly been responsible dye. A comparative nuclear resonance analysis was performed support breaking complex organic framework dyes into low-molecular-weight hydrocarbons.

The challenges associated with heavy crude oil emulsions during hydrocarbon exploitation cannot be overemphasized. As such, water/crude separation in fields becomes necessary before conveyance to the refinery. In this study, we investigated new classes of pyridinium ionic liquids (ILs) demulsifiers, 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate, hexafluorophosphate, and iodide, designated as BMPT, BMPH, BMPI, unique anions (BF4–, PF6–, I–), respectively. effects concentration dosages (100–1000 ppm) these ILs on demulsification produced were assessed using bottle test technique at 75 °C. Viscosity shear stress determination well interfacial tension (IFT) measurements applied affirm effectiveness separate water/oil into phases. Bottle results revealed that BMPI demulsifiers removed water from emulsion effectively, efficiency (% DE) increased increasing dosage. achieved best % DE 84%, 99%, 59%, respectively, 1000 ppm after 60 min. highest was recorded PF6– anion because its high hydrophobic nature. time-sweep indicated reduction viscosities stresses injection demulsifiers. Also, dynamic IFT showed could mix water–oil interface, break asphaltenes resins molecules, reduced 16.01 12.47 mN/m. Optical microscopic images demulsifier mechanism describing stages are also discussed.
