Psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease with many complications and poor prognosis that imposes significant burden on individuals society. Narrowband ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) represents cost-effective non-drug therapeutic intervention for psoriasis. East Asian herbal medicine (EAHM) currently being investigated its potential as safe effective psoriasis treatment. Consequently, it has the to be employed combination therapy NB-UVB. The objective was ascertain efficacy safety of EAHM NB-UVB identify important drugs further research. In this study, randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were retrieved from ten databases in Korea, China, Japan. All statistical analyses conducted using R software version 4.3.0. primary outcomes Area Severity Index (PASI) incidence rate adverse events (AEs), while secondary hematologic markers Dermatology Life Quality (DLQI), which reflect pathology analysis 40 RCTs, including 3521 participants, demonstrated exhibited statistically superiority over monotherapy respect outcomes. Bayesian network meta-analysis revealed Investigator Presciption 3 Ziyin Liangxue Decoction consistent relative advantage each PASI-based metric. estimated influence ranking all individual herbs according PageRank centrality. findings study suggest EAHMs co-administered may provide additional safety-related benefits patients However, quality evidence still low, high-quality are needed reach more definitive conclusions.

Ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death distinct from apoptosis, necrosis, and autophagy, is increasingly recognized for its role in skin disease pathology. Characterized by iron accumulation lipid peroxidation, ferroptosis has been implicated the progression various conditions, including psoriasis, photosensitive dermatitis, melanoma. This review provides an in-depth analysis molecular mechanisms underlying compares cellular effects with other forms context health disease. We systematically examine five specific diseases, ichthyosis, polymorphous light eruption (PMLE), vitiligo, melanoma, detailing influence on pathogenesis progression. Moreover, we explore current clinical landscape ferroptosis-targeted therapies, discussing their potential managing treating diseases. Our aim to shed therapeutic modulating research practice.
