Transition metal oxides play a crucial role in the research and application of electrode materials for supercapacitors owing primarily to their significant cost effectiveness, high theoretical energy storage capacity, favorable reversibility. However, intrinsic low conductivity sluggish reaction kinetics often lead limited specific capacitance slow rate capability devices. To address these issues, this study introduces novel composite material, namely, combination Co3O4 with graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4). The design Co3O4/g-C3N4 material aims enhance electrochemical performance by harnessing synergistic properties two materials. Detailed characterization results unveil that, comparison standalone electrodes, demonstrates greater area. Consequently, exhibits prolonged discharge time higher thereby augmenting overall performance. Even after extended cycling, maintains an impressive capacity retention 90.4%. Additionally, density functional theory calculations reveal that possesses relatively small band gap excellent conductivity. Through innovative strategy, emerges as promising choice efficient high-performance supercapacitors.
