Introduction The prevalence of overweight and obesity among college women is a public health concern. This study examined the effects different intensities resistance training on body composition nutritional intake in obese women. Methods A cluster-randomized controlled trial with 12-week intervention included 72 participants, divided into low, moderate, high-intensity groups, along control group. 3-day food record other standardized instruments measured corresponding variables. Results Post-test results showed significant reduction fat percentage for group compared low-intensity ( p = 0.035) groups 0.026). Significant reductions energy protein moderate-intensity to (both < 0.022) 0.007). In group, was significantly reduced 0.001). Fat decreased 0.017) 0.002). Carbohydrate lower 0.001), while 0.049) (p correlation between changes positive (r 0.513–0.839, all 0.05) but negative −0.606–−0.838, 0.01). Discussion These findings suggest that most effective improving composition; both moderate- (especially) are influential modifying intake; demonstrates best intake. Further research required address contradictory result regarding before, as well explore limitations related population diversity, alternative exercise comparisons, rigorous dietary assessment methods, underlying mechanisms. Systematic review registration ClinicalTrials.gov , NCT05530629.
