Abstract In the face of persistent threats posed by infectious diseases, despite remarkable medical advancements, understanding and efficiently controlling their spatial spread through mathematical modeling remain imperative. Networked reaction-diffusion systems offer a promising avenue to effectively delineate population discrete distribution individual movement heterogeneity. However, dynamics diseases within these formulation optimal control strategies are currently undergoing vigorous development. this letter, we illustrate disease in networked lens control, considering various network complexities from pairwise networks higher-order networks. It then emphasizes applicability designing effective across diverse complexities. Finally, discuss existing challenges.

The impact of resource allocation on the dynamics epidemic spreading is an important topic. In real-life scenarios, individuals usually prioritize their own safety, and this self-protection consciousness will lead to delays in allocation. However, there a lack systematic research delay spreading. To end, coupled model for proposed, which considers both decisions behavior with limited resources. Through theoretical analysis, influence mechanism deduced, relationship among threshold, time, fraction cautious obtained, finally, stability solution under different conditions proven. Furthermore, dynamic characteristics two factors are systematically studied by combining numerical simulation analysis. results show that exhibits nonlinear characteristics, namely, appropriate can enhance control effectiveness, while excessive insufficient consequently increases infection risk. Particularly, optimal maximizes threshold identified. addition, increase proportion significantly but excessively high severely constrain allocation, reduces effectiveness. study provide scientific evidence developing more effective strategies, particularly optimizing improving outcomes.

Networks incorporating higher-order interactions are increasingly recognized for their ability to introduce novel dynamics into various processes, including synchronization. Previous studies on synchronization within multilayer networks have often been limited specific models, such as the Kuramoto model, or focused solely individual layers. Here, we present a comprehensive framework investigating synchronization, particularly global in with interactions.
