ABSTRACT The parasitic plants dodders ( Cuscuta spp., Convolvulaceae) can often simultaneously parasitize two or more neighbouring hosts, forming dodder‐connected plant clusters. In a cluster, salt‐induced systemic priming signals are transferred from the salt‐stressed host (signal donor, SD) to other receiver, SR) through dodder and prime SR for enhanced salt tolerance, but what signalling pathways regulate dodder‐mediated interplant remain unclear. this study, using genetic analyses, we show that in tobacco Nicotiana tabacum ) clusters, strigolactone (SL), reactive oxygen species (ROS) abscisic acid (ABA) pathway SD negatively control stress‐induced plants. Transcriptome data suggested regulated by SLs may also affect ABA ROS Quantification of H 2 O contents SL likely converge on signals. This study reveals important regulatory roles phytohormones communications provides new insight into during stress adaptation individual
