Several studies have demonstrated the existence of a link between action observation (AO) and language. However, optimizing parameters for this not been explored until now.To answer question, present study proposed two experiments assessing role motor repertory attentional focus.Sixty participants performed priming task in which they had to decide if verb was or an after saw point-light display (PLD) representing action.Only one difference distinguished experiments. In experiment one, PLD either accordance with gender kinematics observer, whereas second experiment, focused on unfocused main limbs implied action. The results show that affects processing, focus does not.Implications these are highlighted discussion, notably better understand mechanisms explain processing.

Abstract Intransitive gestures are expressive and symbolic, whereas pantomimes object-related actions. These convey different meanings depending on whether they directed toward (TB) or away from the body (AB). TB express mental states (intransitive) hygiene/nutritional activities (pantomime), while AB modify behavior of observer demonstrate tool use with an object (pantomime). A substantial literature suggests that females exhibit stronger social cue processing compared to males. Considering significance gestures, this study aims explore physiological gender differences in observation gestures. Pupil dilation High Frequency Heart Rate Variability (HF-HRV) were measured 54 participants (27 female) observing The Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) Vicarious Distress Questionnaire (VDQ) used assess social-emotional processes. Results showed greater pupil for but no significant HF-HRV. Males a correlation between increased both empathy levels (IRI). support scale VDQ correlated significantly findings provide insight into neurobiological basis perceiving
