Food
insecurity
in
rural
communities
the
Southern
US
continues
to
grow,
especially
wake
of
COVID-19
pandemic.
Therefore,
understanding
population
characteristics
and
varying
community
needs
is
critical
ensure
that

sufficient
access

stocks

health.
Data
are
presented
from
a
survey
administered
six
counties
North
Carolina,

United
States.
These
data
provide

information
on

Abstract
Food
insecurity
is
a
prevalent
yet
overlooked
issue
within
the
inpatient
setting.
Despite
food
being
predictive
of
poor
health
outcomes
and
increased
hospital
readmission
rates,

ABSTRACT
This
paper

the
role
of
online
grocery
shopping
in
shaping
relationship
between
food
environment
and
household
choices,
with
a
focus
on
disadvantaged
groups.

fixed‐effect

Abstract
Background
Studies
investigating
the
relationship
between
food
insecurity
and
sleep
among
older
populations
are
limited.
This
study
aimed
to
cross-sectionally
examine
associations
sufficiency
status
outcomes
in
a
nationally
representative
sample
of
adults.
Methods
Our
included
1,665
adults
(≥
65
years),
using
data
from
2013
2014
National
Health
Aging
Trends
Study
(NHATS).
Food
insufficiency
was
determined
via
participants’
experience
utilization
assistance
programs
(FAP).
Sleep
outcomes,
including
nighttime
total
hours,
latency,
quality,
were
derived
self-reported
data.

linear
regression
