ABSTRACT Kitchen waste contains abundant starch, cellulose, lignin, and other organic compounds. This study investigated the microbial diversity of composite communities capable efficiently degrading kitchen waste, with a focus on isolation lignin‐degrading strains. High‐throughput sequencing Illumina MiSeq platform was utilized to analyze community structure bacteria fungi in enabling identification core microbiota. Approximately 60 strains, representing over 20 genera, were successfully isolated identified using pure culture techniques. Comparative analysis diversity, based high‐throughput traditional strain methods, revealed that predominantly belonged phylum Firmicutes, while mainly classified into Ascomycota Basidiomycota. These methods provided complementary insights composition communities. Among culturable three high‐yield laccase‐producing fungi— Schizophyllum commune , Alternaria alternata Coriolopsis trogii— selected. The laccase genes Sc‐lac Aa‐lac synthesized heterologously expressed Pichia pastoris resulting activities 180 43 U L −1 supernatant, respectively. laccases, Aa‐lac, applied degrade achieving degradation rates 26.92% 11.54%, optimal temperature pH for both laccases 60°C 3–3.5. findings provide valuable via laboratory selection cultivable Furthermore, screening application these enzymes microorganisms contribute reducing environmental pollution promoting sustainable, eco‐friendly environment.
