This study analyzes the effect of renewable energy research & development (RRD) and nuclear (NRD) expenditures on environmental quality by considering Germany's goal achieving carbon neutrality until 2045. Hence, uses various indicators (carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, ecological footprint-EF, load capacity factor-LCF) to investigate effects RRD NRD controlling also a gross domestic product (GDP) test validity Kuznets curve (EKC) recently proposed (LCC) hypotheses. Also, includes yearly data from 1974 2018, fractional frequency Fourier autoregressive distributive lag (FADL) based FMOLS approach as main model, applies FADL DOLS wavelet causality for robustness. The empirical results reveal that (i) explanatory variables have cointegration link with CO2 emissions EF; (ii) EKC hypothesis is valid Germany, while LCC invalid; (iii) are effective only in reducing emissions; (iv) no significant EF. Considering results, German policymakers could utilize more effectively efficiently improve reduce In this way, Germany achieve its middle century benefiting facilities.

Limiting toxic elements from being exposed to the world's atmosphere has been biggest challenge among environmental researchers and stakeholders. Climate change conferences have counselling global economies take serious steps toward profound decarbonization keep universal temperature below 1.5 °C. In this context, direction of research changed, are more focused on tracing how limit pollution it threshold level. milieu, nuclear energy can make a big difference along with other alternatives fossil energy. Therefore, we extend extant literature by exploring dynamic effects atomic ICT carbon emissions (CO2) for top countries using data 1990 2017. To obtain robust findings, deploy novel non-parametric econometric approach (i.e., method moments quantile regression). The results suggest that is sustainable alternative historical fuel as curbs CO2 in lower, middle, upper quantiles. Furthermore, our findings corroborate penetration through internet, mobile telephone plays vital role improving quality. Moreover, unveil linear economic growth jeopardizes environment unleashing harmful gases. also support existence Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis confirming negative association between polynomial (squared-GDP) designated nations. Also, Granger causality test reaffirms causal nexus selected series runs technological innovation emissions, indicating any policy shock both leads degradation. We, therefore, advocate territories enriching their baskets boost achieve 100% decoupling pollution.

The outcome of patents on environmental (POET) technologies the EF in USA has not been comprehensively explored. Therefore, to close this breach literature, present study discovers how ecological affect footprint (EF) while regulatory for GDP and EC using Fourier-based approaches. conclusions reveal that POET are an important predictor cause a reduction deprivation long run; as expected, economic growth negatively affects sustainability. outcomes suggest it is possible resolve conflicts between economy environment by technological innovation. government must reconsider its policy focus, particularly coal energy sourcing industrial energy, continuing with heavy investments ambitious renewable technology development plan. Moreover, should continue promote technologies.
