Disputes about the probable availability of safe water and efficacy processed wastewater are key issues that necessitate a suitable solution to enhance quality clean water. The current research emphasizes synthesis ZnSe-reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites (ZnSe:rGO) with different weight ratios rGO (represented as X = 0.6, 1 1.6 g)via one-step hydrothermal method. photocatalytic performance for degradation methyl violet (MV) dye was investigated under visible light irradiation by varying reaction parameters. crystal structure, elemental composition, surface functionality morphology synthesized ZnSe-XrGO were estimated powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) scanning electron microscopic (SEM) techniques. UV-visible used investigate optical properties. highest efficiency is obtained in 1:1 it showed pseudo 1st order behavior rate constant 0.0167min-1and 94 % photodegradation MV just 3 h. Furthermore, hazardous effects on germination growth Zea mays seeds giving them aqueous (0, 8, 12, 24 48 ppm) decontaminated after photoactive composite. results profound negative effect both seedling at higher concentration (>12 solution. No observed these parameters when given degraded which reflects practical use catalyst remediation. study fulfills goal designing an efficient visible-light active nano-photocatalyst its direct applicability life sciences purification.
