Furazolidone, a nitrofuran antibiotic, has been broadly used in aquaculture and veterinary medicine, its presence water poses considerable environmental health hazards due to toxicity. This study investigated hybrid photocatalytic process for the removal of furazolidone, employing graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) persulfate anions (PS) under both laboratory pilot-scale conditions. The synergistic effect g-C3N4 PS enhanced generation reactive species, facilitating efficient degradation FZ two different aqueous matrices. Through scavenging studies, positive holes were determined be dominant followed by sulfate radicals. Seven transformation products tentatively identified via UHPLC-LTQ/Orbitrap MS analysis. optimized system (g-C3N4/PS) achieved 100% furazolidone less than 60 min simulated solar light, demonstrating potential large-scale application wastewater remediation. ABSTRACT A new metal–organic framework (MOF) {[NH 2 (CH 3 ) ][Co 5 (BTC) (OAC) (DMA) ] n ·1.25DMA·2.25H O} ( 1 ), has been synthesized and characterized. The thermal stability, optical properties photocatalytic activity of were also evaluated. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed stable behaviour up to 172°C, while UV–visible spectroscopy indicated an band gap 1.6 eV, suggesting semiconducting properties. Photocatalytic tests demonstrated efficient degradation antibiotic pollutants under UV light, with optimal performance in degrading Ornidazole (ODZ) at 40 ppm mg/L photocatalyst dosage, achieving a efficiency 83.69%. Reusability showed over multiple cycles. In this paper, the effect of zero-valent iron (Fe0) activated persulfate (PDS) on removal enrofloxacin (ENR) was investigated, and mechanism were analyzed by exploring effects Fe0 concentration, PDS pH, influence anion aqueous matrix ENR Fe0/PDS system. The results showed that when [ENR] = 20 µmol/L, [Fe0] 0.15 g/L, [PDS] 0.4 mmol/L, rate 85.3% at 90 min, mainradicals HO•, SO4•− O2•−. At same time, system had a good mineralization (TOC > 40%), in addition, did not show obvious toxicity to soil microorganisms after reaction, furthermore wide pH range (4 ≤ 10). There is basically no difference ultrapure water river water. experiment could provide reference for antibiotics based advanced oxidation techniques SO4•−.
