In this work, the synergistic effect of hydrochloric-acid etching and inhibitors on flotation separation magnesite dolomite in sodium oleate (NaOL) system was studied. Flotation tests revealed that acid hexametaphosphate, alginate, lignosulfonate poor. Meanwhile, with carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) could regulate over a wide pH range. Moreover, CMC increased difference between from 15.73% to 67.17%, selective index 1.38 2.89. Characterization by atomic force microscopy altered surface morphology dolomite, roughening their surfaces. Contact angle measurements, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis, zeta potential measurements indicated changed wettability, charge, adsorption performance selectively inhibiting NaOL onto thereby flotation. However, it has minimal floatability magnesite.

ABSTRACT This study investigated the relation between solubility and floatability of soluble mineral brucite, focusing on concentration characteristics dissolved Mg 2+ in brucite under three dissolution methods surface after dissolution. Some common rules flotation anionic collectors were discovered. Results a test showed that for collector systems sodium oleate, dodecyl sulfonate, oxidized paraffin soap, recovery rate increased with time decreased removal , but is lower than untreated brucite. Inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy indicated content slurry increases increasing or time. Zeta potential measurements ability to increase follows order H 2 SO 4 action > HCl O action. Adsorption capacity presence not beneficial adsorption The Scanning electron microscopy X‐ray photoelectron analyses promoted solution, reducing number sites deteriorating collection effect collector.
