Essential oils, aromatic compounds extracted from various parts of plants, have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their diverse therapeutic properties and potential applications healthcare. This analysis delves into the publication trends, productivity patterns, most relevant contributors, coauthorship networks, frequently used keywords, co-occurrence, topic thematic evolution, collaboration between countries clinical trials exploring essential oils. Six hundred sixty-one were selected PubMed database for analysis, authored by 2959 authors, published across 359 sources. The identified Horrobin DF as contributing author based on number trials, followed Kasper S, McGuire JA, Schlafke S. Lotka's law underscores distribution authors' productivity, revealing a small highly productive authors. Coauthorship identifies collaborations among authors institutions, with prominent contributors like Siegfried institutions Shiraz University Medical Sciences. Furthermore, highlights leading journals Complementary Therapies Clinical Practice Journal Alternative Medicine. Using keyword clustering, connections subjects chronological presence are uncovered, offering insights changing research landscape. examination exposes changes emphasis over time, progressing fundamental studies oil components broader utilization focused inquiries oils domains. Analysis corresponding revealed that Iran has highest multiple-country publications. Moreover, international trends been unveiled. Together, these analyses furnish holistic understandings relationships, shifts, global partnerships research, presenting valuable perspectives focal points within this domain.

The genus Allium contains more than 300 species where garlic, onion and leek can be found. Recent studies highlight the potential of phytochemicals present in as therapeutic agents, such antimicrobial, antihypertensive, antioxidant antiinflammatory, which makes it a widely studied an attractive option for both pharmaceutical food industries. This review aims to explore current knowledge this field. It highlights key findings regarding pharmacological approach on thiosulfinates polysulfides sativum, ampeloprasum sphaerocephalon species. Further, by integrating what has been reported previous research, proposes action mechanism formation polysulfides, will help harness nature-inspired solutions combating illness.
