This study enhanced germanium (Ge) enrichment in the liquid fermentation of edible fungus Lyophyllum decastes order to boost its biological activity, particularly antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties. Through use single-factor Plackett–Burman designs, experiments revealed critical parameters affecting Ge enrichment, including oxide concentration, potato powder peptone levels. The optimization Box–Behnken response surface methodology resulted a concentration 3.61 mg/L, significantly enhancing biomass, protein, polysaccharide, flavonoid content mycelium. In contrast traditional fermentation, Ge-rich mycelial biomass by 30.97% elevated organic 50.19-fold. An analysis antioxidants that Ge-enriched water extract exhibited heightened augmenting TNF-α production RAW264.7 cells 73.29% at 200 μg/g. These findings indicate L. holds promise for functional applications health-supportive products due robust immune-enhancing capabilities.

A water-soluble polysaccharide from foxtail millet (FM-D1) was isolated and purified through gradient ethanol precipitation column chromatography. Size-Exclusion Chromatography–Multi-Angle Light Scattering–Refractive Index (SEC-MALLS-RI) high-performance anion-exchange chromatography (HPAEC) analyses revealed that FM-D1 constitutes a highly neutral exclusively composed of glucose as the sugar unit, with molecular weight 14.823 kDa. The structural characterization results obtained gas chromatography–mass spectrometer (GC–MS) nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) spectra suggest primarily consists main chain linked by →4)-α-D-Glcp-(1→ minor quantities →4,6)-α-D-Glcp-(1→ to form chain, branching mainly α-D-Glcp-(1→ attached O-6 position residues. Based on these findings, antioxidant immunomodulatory activities were evaluated in vitro. indicated exhibited moderate 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) 2,2′-Azinobis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonate) (ABTS) radical scavenging capacity total (TAOC). Furthermore, stimulated macrophage proliferation inhibited production nitric oxide (NO) inflammatory factors (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 246.7 cells. Overall, findings this study holds promise potential agent immunologic substance functional foods.

The purpose of this study was to obtain polysaccharides from Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer stems (PGSPs), agro-byproducts with development potential, and fully explore the potential value in P. stems. Two novel firstly (PGSP-1 PGSP-2) were obtained by water extraction alcohol precipitation method column chromatography, then characterized FT-IR, HPGPC, HPLC, SEM, TGA, GC–MS NMR. results demonstrated that PGSP-1 (Mw = 723.83 kDa) PGSP-2 620.48 →4)- β -D-Gal p -(1→, →6)- α -D-Glc -(1 → →2)- -L-Rha as skeleton, →4,6)- →2,6)- -D-Man cross junction, -L-Araf-(1 terminal unit, still contained , while -D-Xyl →3)- A-(1→, A-(1 →) different microstructures thermal stability. And hypoglycemic activity revealed both showed excellent inhibitory against -glucosidase -amylase, which had better performance. inhibition kinetics result PGSPs on -amylase non-competitive type mixed inhibition. This provided a theoretical basis for making full use exploiting economic such offered reference effective utilization PGSP functional component prevent reduce T2DM.
