This work describes the immobilization and characterization of purified Penicillium crustosum Thom P22 lipase (PCrL) using adsorption, encapsulation, adsorption–encapsulation approaches. The maximum activity immobilized PCrL on CaCO3 microspheres sodium alginate beads was shifted from 37 to 45 °C, compared with that free enzyme. When coupled zeolite or chitosan, yield reached 100% showed improved stability over a wide temperature range, retaining all its initial after one-hour incubation at 60 °C. significantly improves catalytic performance in organic solvents, pH tolerance value, thermal stability. Interestingly, 95% almost 50% PCrL’s retained 6 12 cycles, respectively. characteristics forms were analyzed by X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscopy combined energy dispersive spectroscopy. conversion efficiency oleic acid methanol methyl esters (biodiesel), CaCO3, 65% h 40 while generated only 30% conversion, under same conditions.
