Abstract Although composting is a very effective way to dispose agricultural wastes, its development greatly limited by the low compost quality and greenhouse gas emissions. At present, there lack of means solve these two problems simultaneously. Here, effects three additives compound microbial agent, biochar carried agent on performance, nitrogen transformation, ammonia emissions, bacterial communities were investigated in sheep manure during 28 days. Results showed that prolonged thermophilic stage promoted maturity. same time, it was confirmed increase decomposition organic transformation NH 4 + -N NO 3 − -N. Besides, adding decreased CH , N 2 O emissions 65.23%, 42.05% 68.64%, respectively. The mainly correlated Chloroflexi Myxococcota Acidobacteriota Firmicutes Gemmatimonadota . Redundancy analysis EC TKN closely related community. Therefore, recommended as an additive enhance reduce composting. Graphical
