In this study, bioinspired chitinous manufacturing is leveraged to artificially reproduce iridescent gratings found in the cuticles of beetles living concealed environments. Combining with a melanin‐like background achieves vibrant iridescence, similar that produced by multilayer reflectors leaf beetles. process, controlled production optical structures allowed using polymers, same components produce color arthropod cuticles.
