In this research, the authors studied synthesis of a silicon-based quaternary ammonium material based on coupling agent chloromethyl trimethoxysilane (KH-150) as well its adsorption and separation properties for Th(IV). Using FTIR NMR methods, materials before after grafting were characterized to determine spatial structure functional groups in SG-CTSQ. The thermodynamic kinetic experimental results demonstrated that low (SG-CTSQ1 SG-CTSQ2) tended physical Th(IV), while other two chemical adsorption. mechanism experiment further proved achieve through an anion-exchange reaction. Chromatographic column experiments SG-CTSQ has good performance U-Th separation, decontamination factor uranium up 385.1, removal can reach 99.75%.
