Abstract In response to heightened competition arising from globalization, companies are crafting strategies sustain their operations. However, these also introduce risks that require meticulous management. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated disruptions in supply chains, including vulnerable food chain (FCS), strained further by escalating prices and resource depletion recent times. Within this context, vulnerability global FSCs escalated significantly due government-imposed lockdowns during pandemic. This study aims comprehensively investigate multifaceted caused By delving deep into complexities disruptions, it seeks uncover key factors contributing chains. Employing a blend literature review expert opinions, identifies prioritizes using Fermatean Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FF-AHP). A two-level criteria framework consisting three main eleven sub-criteria been developed, taking account recommendations previous studies. According results obtained, revealed Managerial within most significant fragility FSC. Among factors, observed Technology, Corporation, Inventory Management leading causing is first vulnerabilities FSC fuzzy logic. research underscores imperative comprehensive risk management encompass all stakeholders chain, particularly unanticipated crises like pandemics.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to propose a novel framework that utilizes interval-valued fermatean fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (IVFF-AHP) assess the resilience circular supply chains (CSC)s. By categorizing resilience-related factors into different levels and determining their weights using IVFF-AHP, aims provide comprehensive evaluation CSCs. Design/methodology/approach proposed integrates concepts CSCs, multi criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods chain operations reference (SCOR) model. SCOR model serves as basis for identifying relevant assessment. then employs IVFF-AHP determine relative these at each level, accommodating inherent uncertainties linguistic evaluations associated with assessing resilience. Findings findings highlight efficacy IVFF-AHP-based considering multiple applying AHP, provides decision-makers understanding use enables effective handling vague imprecise information, enhancing process. Practical implications employing can better understand influencing CSCs allocate resources accordingly. This enhanced aid in developing strategies mitigate risks, enhance adaptability improve overall Originality/value contributes existing literature by introducing combines application MCDM evaluate represents significant novelty. integration further enhances practical value framework, it standardized factors. research offers unique valuable perspective researchers practitioners field.
