Transportation sector is one of the most important causes environmental problems such as global warming and acid rain. To reduce transportation's negative impacts on environment, it should be made carbon neutral. Although electrification has been very popular in recent years, internal combustion engines will continue to dominate transportation for a long time. Biodiesel can produced from varios feedstocks classified into three generation according its feedstock origin. However, fuel properties biodiesel fuels different generations vary significantly depending feedstock. fuels' physico-chemical greatly influence engine characteristics exhaust emissions. In this experimental study, 13 (including generations) some key kinematic viscosity, density, flash point, cold filter plugging point cetane index were determined compared with each other. The highest lowest viscosities measured Waste Cooking Oil Soybean Biodiesel, respectively. Among fuels, only Chicken Fat could not meet viscosity specification EN 14214. density values test similar (between 875.83 kg.m-3 891.46 kg.m-3) all within required range. (142 °C) was Algae Biodiesel. It considerably lower than other fuels. (184 belonged Hazelnut Fleshing had (58.80) (50.54) values, biodiesels met minimum value given European standard. significant differences (ranged -10 °C 10 between origins observed CFPP. poor flow waste feedstock-based may cause critical diesel engines. Nevertheless, they blended or petro-diesel certain amounts. tested algae oil best technical potential.

Diesel soot is well-known for its adverse effects on both the environment and public health, sparking significant academic interest. The use of diesel particulate filters (DPFs) represents an effective strategy capturing subsequently removing particles. However, captured cannot be oxidized under exhaust conditions, additional fuel consumption required to increase oxidation temperature. addition catalysts can effectively reduce temperature soot, improve efficiency, save energy consumption. widespread adoption catalyst-coated DPF systems largely dependent development catalysts. This review compiles application in field engine removal, with a focus influence catalyst physicochemical properties oxidation-induced fragmentation process. It begins in-depth discussion various catalytic mechanisms different catalysts, factors that affect activity are further explored. Then, this focuses process, potential synergistic generated by interaction between environmental components gas analyzed. Finally, applications removal engineering concluded. provides key insights future research efforts aimed at enhancing efficiency.
