Plant polyphenols are known for their numerous health-promoting properties. This article reviews the current state of research in two related fields, namely beneficial effects flavonoids human health, e.g., gut microbiome, and supercritical fluid extraction applied to plant origin. The review covered articles registered eLIBRARY.RU, PubMed, Science Direct 2005–2025. Polyphenolic compounds obtained from various berries were reported have a positive impact on microbiota, they stimulated growth lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, other microorganisms, as well improved adhesion probiotic pathogenic microbes intestinal epithelial cells. revealed some promising application areas berry extracts functional food industry. Polyphenols can be part meat formulations due strong antioxidant activity. Their antimicrobial effect against wide range contaminants renders them good prospects protecting products microbial spoilage. Supercritical is method that isolates biologically active substances materials. summarizes its advantages limitations, prospective co-solvents. Ultrasonication, pulse electric field, enzymic pretreatment make more efficient. In general, this proved an excellent means isolating plants parts.

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in herbicide (i.e., Roundup, Touchdown and Erasure), safety of which has become a social concern. Hawthorn-leaf flavonoid (HF) possesses various biological functions, including antioxidant, regulating lipid metabolism intestinal microbiota. Whether HF could reduce health risk pure glyphosate to birds remain unknown. The experiment aimed evaluate effects (25 mg/kg added water) on microbiota chicks protective roles (60 diet).
