Egg production is a complex biological process closely linked to ovarian development and metabolic adaptation in laying hens. As the core reproductive organ, ovary undergoes significant changes during different egg-laying stages. This study employed untargeted metabolomics analyze metabolites serum tissues of hens at 20W 30W. The results revealed that reprogramming was more pronounced than serum. Shared between demonstrated coordinated interactions systemic local networks. synthesis prostaglandin E1 lipid metabolism identified as key driver ovulation hormone production. Extracellular matrix remodeling polyamine metabolism, particularly spermidine/spermine, enhanced cell adhesion antioxidant capacity development. These findings provide new insights into follicular development, regulation, steroid biosynthesis, while suggesting potential targets improve poultry efficiency.
