Theranostic polymers have emerged as a versatile platform in cancer nanomedicine, integrating therapeutic and imaging functionalities to overcome challenges oncology. Featuring diverse architectures such linear polymers, dendrimers, star-like bottle-brush these systems enable tumor-targeted drug delivery, real-time imaging, controlled release. Recent advances stimuli-responsive designs biomimetic strategies improved their specificity, stability, adaptability, outperforming conventional nanocarriers. This review summarizes the design, synthesis, biomedical applications of theranostic focusing on potential address tumor heterogeneity biological barriers. The biocompatibility, immunogenicity, clinical translation are discussed, with perspective toward future developments precision medicine imaging-guided therapy.
