Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is known as a method in which photosensitizers produce reactive oxygen species the presence of light and oxygen, leading to cell death. In this paper, DNA interaction properties bis[4-({8)-[3-(trimethylamino)phenoxy]octyl}oxy)] substituted silicon (IV) phthalocyanine (GsB-SiPc) were examined using UV-Vis spectrophometer agarose gel electrophoresis techniques. Afterwards, cytotoxic/phototoxic effects GsB-SiPc 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays on A549 cells. The results showed that bound ct-DNA via groove binding mode. nuclease/photonuclease experiments, had low nuclease activity dark but it high photonuclease light, depending compound concentration dose. addition, demonstrated remarkable phototoxicity toward human lung adenocarcinoma (A549) line at 50 100 µM light. vitro data revealed potential photodynamic agent for treatment cancer. These findings need be supported by further studies.

Abstract Electrospinning offers a versatile platform for developing nanofibrous scaffolds capable of enhancing the therapeutic potential photodynamic therapy (PDT). Photosensitizer (PS) loaded fibers exhibit high surface area‐to‐volume ratio, promoting efficient drug delivery, prolonged retention at target site, and controlled release profiles. Inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation through light activation targeted approach, selectively generating cytotoxic effects in cancerous or pathogenic cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. This selective cytotoxicity arises because ROS are produced only illuminated areas where PS releases accumulates, limiting their harmful desired regions. Additionally, PS‐loaded highly effective wound healing applications, cell proliferation tissue regeneration providing barrier against microbial infections. review highlights recent advances design biomedical application nanofibers, emphasizing influence on viability effectiveness inhibition, thereby setting stage future innovations cancer therapy, healing, infection control.
