Hydrogen is one of the prospective clean energies that could potentially address two pressing areas global concern, namely energy crises and environmental issues. Nowadays, fossil-based technologies are widely used to produce hydrogen release higher greenhouse gas emissions during process. Decarbonizing planet has been major goals in recent decades. To achieve this goal, it necessary find clean, sustainable, reliable production with low costs zero emissions. Therefore, study aims analyse generation from solar wind sources observe broad prospects hybrid renewable producing green hydrogen. The mainly focuses on critical assessment solar, wind, hybrid-powered electrolysis Furthermore, key challenges opportunities associated commercial-scale deployment addressed. Finally, potential applications their scopes discussed important barriers overall commercial development solar-wind-based systems. found appears be best candidate employed for multiple purposes, blending roles fuel carrier storage modality. Further studies recommended technical sustainable solutions overcome current issues identified study.

Energy systems analyses are integrated elements in planning the transition towards renewable energy-based energy systems. This is due to a growing complexity arising from wider exploitation of variable sources (VRES) and an increasing reliance on sector integration as enabler temporal system integration, but it calls for consideration validity modelling tools. article synthesises EnergyPLAN applications through analysis its use both bibliometric case-geographical point view review evolution issues addressed results obtained using EnergyPLAN. synthesis provided with addressing contribution EnergyPLAN-based research. The Canary Islands power systems face environmental, economic, and social sustainability challenges. They heavily rely on imported fossil fuel for electricity generation; this leads to an increase in the Cost of Electricity (COE) CO2 emission; a reduction can be made by utilizing more renewable energy sources (RES). This paper presents comprehensive techno-economic assessment increasing RES utilization Tenerife Gran Canaria. Results illustrate that least-cost penetration each island exceeds 60% compared 18.8% 15.5% today. implies potential 58% emission intensity. additional integration decreases COE 23.0% 25.3% Canaria, respectively. impact imposing penalties is explored, results show slight optimal capacity. Electrical Interconnection between both islands also investigated, it found aggregate beyond 70%, reduce 30.3% lower current situation. Finally, obtained support decision-makers establish policies help transform system into sustainable reliable using RES, storage, exchange islands.
