Factors such as investments in environmentally clean technologies, globalization, and institutional quality significantly increase environmental quality. The study aims to provide light on how quality, economic growth affect a sustainable environment. In addition, this evaluates the European Union's carbon zero target by 2050 results of achieving neutrality 2030, which was put agenda at UN Climate Change Conference Parties (COP-26). For purpose, ten countries (Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland) that invest highest technology Union were selected study. data range is from 1990 2019. Also, validity load capacity curve (LCC) hypothesis investigated these countries. CCEMG DCCE estimators used estimate long-run coefficients. When panel assessed whole, LCC determined be valid both estimators. According country-based results, it has been only for Spain. also includes following observations. (i) Environmental technologies LCF improving (ii) Globalization reduces Austria. (iii) Institutional variable decreases Austria increases Germany France. These findings suggest attain environment future, policymakers should raise research development budgets technology, enhance standards institutions, take globalization into account.

The unflinching surge in global warming has left the world ecological chaos. Consequently, governments across globe are committing to achieving decarbonizing environment with a target aimed at 2050, of which China is key player. In effect, this study seeks contribute strides by querying extent shocks technological innovation make or mar sustainability Chinese from 1990 2019. other impacts foreign direct investment, renewable and nonrenewable energy, economic growth considered model estimated through nonlinear ARDL robust for ascertaining instantaneous positive negative effects. results reveal that promotes hinders environmental based on shocks, respectively, whereas adverse impede it. Besides, energy turn out be predictors while FDI facilitate Fourier Toda Yamamoto corroborate NARDL results. EKC hypothesis not validated estimates novel Itkonen (2012) approach. Following empirical results, practicable policy insights toward sustaining beyond formulated.

The present millennium records the most devastating effects of global warming than what was evident in pre-industrial era. pervasive have raised concerns about sustainability and future generations. Hence, researchers are working assiduously towards proffering effective method halting surging emissions from global, regional, national angles. This study contributes to extant literature by providing first empirical verification how renewable energy, technological innovations, trade openness, transport services impact carbon Germany. evidence is anchored on annual time series data 1990 2020 estimated using novel nonlinear ARDL explore positive negative shocks associated with short long-run nexus. wavelet coherence estimator equally for ascertaining multiple scales extends knowledge frontier literature. following findings eminent overall analyses. First, cointegration supported among variables interest Second, only adverse energy technology substantial enough mitigate emissions. trade-induced established impacts openness Transport contribute significantly short-run periods. However, mitigating small magnitude apparent due perceived transition green transportation. Policy implications supporting 100% transportation significant steps achieving Germany's neutrality target.
