Abstract Environmental sustainability and energy transition, especially the renewable have become critical concerns of nations throughout world in recent decades. Therefore, this study endeavored investigate role innovation (lnGRN) financial globalization (lnFIG) on (lnEFT) (lnENT) United Kingdom using quarterly data for period from 1995 2020. applied time‐varying (bootstrapping) rolling window technique, can retrieve casual associations among variables at different periods sub‐samples. Besides this, method is advantageous addressing non‐consistency parameters eliminating pre‐test distortion. novel Bootstrap Rolling‐Window full‐sample causality technique results demonstrate that lnGRN lnFIG unidirectional toward lnEFT lnENT. Furthermore, bootstrap rolling‐window subsamples final stage indicate mitigate lnEFT, whereas lnGDP enhance transition. This study examines the short-term and long-term effects of various important determinants such as financial inclusion (FI), information communication technology (ICT), renewable energy (RE), globalization (GOB), economic growth (EG) on CO2 emissions in top 10 emitter countries OBOR region based collected data for years 2004 to 2019. employed CS-ARDL technique. Findings demonstrate a strong relationship between FI, ICT, both short-term. Renewable sources have been found emission reduction effect, long short term. In run, there is negative connection emissions; however, this inconsequential, while has positive association with emission.
