In this paper, we have carefully studied the scientific literature dealing with use of passive radiative surfaces within construction industry. The aim paper is to highlight technologies and materials for daylight cooling under study today—or already on market—and report their main characteristics, performance and, where possible, costs. Following a review available literature, advantages limitations such an option were highlighted, seeking capture opportunities future lines research development. This also provides physical laws that evaluate energy balance as well criteria quantify all terms these equations.
