This research presents a novel mathematical framework for optimizing solar combined cycle power plants, with particular emphasis on the exergy analysis of various superheating heat exchanger configurations used in thermal energy storage. The importance phase change materials (PCMs) improving thermodynamic efficiency plants is emphasized this study. investigation includes three configurations, two single PCM and one PCMs. use PCMs intended to increase storage density, reduce volume, maintain consistent temperatures, thereby favoring latent model developed evaluates output temperature profiles during charging discharging processes. results show that configuration has an impressive 93.12%, reaching 371°C 8 hours. other hand, achieve even higher at 94.89% charging, 367°C over slightly longer 10-hour period. comparison emphasizes benefits using PCMs, demonstrating increased marginal setup. Furthermore, outcomes resulting from type exchangers reveals disparity melting temperatures causes only minor variations system's efficiency. findings emphasize significance optimal utilization efficient retention, particularly periods low radiation.
