The research paper analyses the documentary series-China’s Contradiction: World’s Biggest Clean Energy Producer and Polluter?, produced by Channel News Asia (CNA) Insider, which highlighted China's efforts in increasing coal production, despite producing huge amounts of green energy. China has emerged as world’s No.1 producer solar energy world, over 430 GW is also world's largest manufacturer equipment, superseding other countries like U.S.A., Germany, India, Japan. In spite being ‘clean’ energy, started constructing several power plants, to meet country’s requirements, directly contradicting its statement that it will peak emissions 2030 attain net zero 2060. So study adopts case approach decipher China’s increased interest investment reasons behind investing plants well, After analysis, concluded ambitions industry for overall economic development, country not yet ‘ready’ become completely because high dependence on generating cheap electricity at all times year.

China is implementing ambitious solar energy development plans, with the goal of exceeding 2200–2800 GW by 2030. However, necessitates substantial land use. An estimated 64,900 km 2 would be required, posing significant challenges, particularly in balancing production environmental and agricultural priorities. Without a commitment to sustainable management, broader renewable cannot achieved. Our findings highlight need for policies that ensure photovoltaic developments are compatible conservation preservation.
