Purpose Climatic changes caused by greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions are an urgent challenge for all regions around the globe while livestock sector is important source of GHGs emissions. The adoption low-carbon manure treatment technology (LMTT) farmers emerging as effective remedy to neutralize carbon livestock. This paper aims incorporate environmental literacy and social norms into analysis framework, with aim exploring impact on farmers' LMTT finally reduce emission climate effects. Design/methodology/approach research survey conducted in Hebei, Henan Hubei provinces China. First, this measures from cognition, skill responsibility describes descriptive imperative norms. Second, explores influence using logit model. Third, Logit model's instrumental approach, i.e. IV-Logit, applied address simultaneous biases between farmers’ adoption. Finally, used a moderating model analyze feasible paths that farmers. Additionally, technologies consist energy resource technologies. Compared technology, have more substantial literacy, affecting farmer technology. To meet growing demand for animal-based foods, livestock production has intensified to maximize output with limited resources and space. This increased the spatial heterogeneity of distribution, which in turn caused severe nutrient loss risk antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic disease, human exposure disease pollution. There is an urgent need spatially explicit impact assessments, but current methods lack resolution needed accurately map fine-scale distribution. Here we developed a mapping agricultural systems (MAPS) model by fusing enterprise registration information (ERI), can directly represent activities, other currently available data generate high-resolution mapping. Using example pig China, global leading producer, show that MAPS improves accuracy location/size estimates 12%–84%, illustrating 44% underestimation numbers dense farming areas (>1,000 pigs/km2) existing methods. also reveals transfer from rural peri-urban areas, implying more decoupled pig-crop China. enables assessments support sustainable planning intensive alleviate health risks.

Introduction: This study investigates the impact of Agricultural Socialized Services (ASSs) on green production behavior (GPB) smallholder farmers in main rice region southern China. The research aims to address gap understanding relationship between ASSs and adoption sustainable agricultural practices by farmers. Methodology: Data was collected from 741 Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang provinces using a structured questionnaire. A probit model employed examine farmers’ GPB. Results Discussion: revealed that have significant positive Farmers who received tended adopt more such as organic fertilizer soil-tested formula fertilizer. findings this important implications for policymakers. results suggest policymakers should prioritize development services producers strengthen Service Systems. can be achieved through optimizing public administration service system, establishing joint organizations, creating good financial legal environment. By doing so, promote overall sector.

Coffee production in Central America provides a valuable yet volatile source of income for hundreds thousands small-scale farmers and employment millions workers. Expansion coffee into previously forested areas has caused the loss wide range ecosystem goods services while contributing to global climate change socioeconomic instability. Growth carbon markets agricultural settings specialty coffees meet consumer demands products that support environmental community outcomes suggests promise favorable change. Yet, incentives required promote widespread transition toward sustainable are poorly understood, leaving policymakers with insufficient information design scalable forest conservation initiatives. To fill this gap, we use discrete choice experiment administered Honduras understand farmers' willingness conserve natural on farmlands exchange higher prices payments from credits. Results suggest viable option improving sustainability production. However, may be reluctant set aside significant percentages landscape restoration. Low-income appear more averse conservation, suggesting need insurance against revenue losses.
