Fostering sustainable consumption is crucial and understanding the discussion about on social media serves this important goal. However, literature lacks an up-to-date exploration of topics sentiments pertaining to media. In study, explore public media, Twitter (currently X) posts (or tweets) were analyzed using topic modeling sentiment analysis. The findings revealed that has a slightly positive revolves around specific contexts (such as energy, fashion, plastic, food consumption), issues environmental economic sustainability circular economy resource use), cities, institutions, regulation. Understanding the dynamics and duration of trending topics on digital platforms has been deemed a crucial issue research in computer-mediated communication. Employing event history analysis (EHA), this study attempts to examine antecedents lifespan evolution Sina Weibo, one most prevalent social media China. Based collection 2,386 Weibo that emerged between January 1 31, 2022, explores how factors topics, especially their semantic textual features, significantly influence topic persistence. Typhoons are among the most destructive natural phenomena, posing significant threats to human society. Therefore, accurate damage assessment is crucial for effective disaster management and sustainable development. While social media texts have been widely used analysis, current studies tend neglect geographic references primarily focus on single-label classification, which limits real-world utility. In this paper, we propose a multi-task learning method that synergizes tasks of location extraction identification. Using Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) with auxiliary classifiers as backbone, framework integrates toponym entity recognition model multi-label classification model. Novel toponym-enhanced weights designed bridge generate augmented text representations both tasks. Experimental results show high performance, F1-scores 0.891 0.898 identification, representing improvements 4.3% 2.5%, respectively, over single-task deep baselines. This study investigates the dissemination of major waste sorting policies and public feedback attitudes across 46 key Chinese cities using data from Weibo social media platform. The research employs a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic model to identify mine themes comment texts, extracting multiple core discussion topics. results show that although negative sentiments slightly outweighed positive in comments, there was no significant difference focal points attention between sentiments. Mandating policies about waste separation is essential for solving the urban crisis. To clarify impact of mandatory on residents' willingness to separate waste, based Construal Level Theory, this study constructed a mechanism model and analyzed role perceived cost benefit. The was validated using questionnaire survey 1,370 residents via hierarchical regression analysis bootstrap method.
