The key concernment for countries in achieving sustainable development goals is reducing emissions. Most studies focused on investigating the role of technological innovation reaction needs to be considered when increasing objective this research examine interrelationship between and carbon emissions 71 nations world from 1996 2020, applying simultaneous equation modelling (SEM) with three-stage least squares (3SLS). Outcomes demonstrate a bidirectional relationship Specifically, influences negatively, while influence positively. Renewable energy forest areas negatively emissions, tourism agriculture positively Trade human capital impact innovation. Institutional quality enhances environmental quality, it Several policies promote reduce towards goals.

The nexus between environmental pollution (EP) and technological innovation is crucial for achieving sustainable development. However, existing literature has paid less attention to the new form of high-quality (HI) in management. This paper uses panel data from 31 Chinese provinces 2008 2020, employing two-stage least squares method investigate relationship HI EP. empirical results reveal that can effectively reduce EP, which holds after multiple robustness tests, this effect more obvious southern China. Meanwhile, drives clean efficient energy transition decreases Moreover, increased regulation weakens influence on major contributions study are constructing an index including innovation, human capital, government support examining its EP findings encourage implement policies innovation-driven transformation, conservation emissions reduction.

Introduction In the search for sustainable development, urban eco-development is becoming a core agenda all countries. China’s low-carbon city pilot (LCCP) policy an important initiative to promote governance. And exploring direction of LCCP step towards development. Methods Super-SBM employed calculate ecological efficiency using panel data from 254 prefecture-level cities between 2007 and 2020. The methods kernel density estimation spatial Markov chains are applied analysis efficiency. analyses examine spatiotemporal patterns dynamic evolving trends Additionally, multiperiod difference-in-differences method used assess impact on On this basis, we apply mechanism discuss influence mechanism. This study investigates the factors influencing CO2 emissions in Romania from 1990 to 2023 using Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. Before ARDL model, we identified a set of six policies that were ranked Fuzzy Electre, Topsis, DEMATEL, and Vikor. The multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods have highlighted importance circular policy on emission reduction, which should be central focus for policymakers. results model indicate that, long term, renewable energy production reduces emissions, showing negative relationship. Conversely, an increase patent applications urbanization contributes higher reflecting positive impact. In total, five key analyzed: per capita, applications, gross domestic product, share renewables, urbanization. Notably, GDP does not significantly explain run, suggesting economic growth alone is direct driver levels Romania. decoupling might result improvements efficiency, shifts towards less carbon-intensive industries, increased adoption sources. has implemented effective environmental regulations mitigate impact emissions.
