Background Limited research exists on the features and management of post-COVID cough. This real-world study investigates outpatients with subacute or chronic cough, aiming to delineate characteristics regimen responses within population. Method We enrolled eligible patients from our outpatient unit between August 2023 February 2024. Comprehensive clinical data, prescriptions, patient-reported cough severity were collected during primary visit subsequent follow-ups. Result A total 141 patients, aged: 42 ± 14 years old, included, 70% being female. The median duration was 8 weeks (interquartile range 4–12 weeks). Sixty percent presented a dry while rest had coughs phlegm. Over half reported abnormal laryngeal sensations (54%). Twenty-one coughed day, 32% constantly, 48% experienced nocturnal episodes. Compound methoxyphenamine capsules most prescribed, but found ICS/LABA be effective, followed by compound capsules, montelukast, Chinese patent drugs. Conclusion Females exhibit higher prevalence recommends as preferred treatment. These findings warrant validation through larger, prospectively designed studies.

Background: Cough is one of the multiple prolonged symptoms observed in patients who had coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection. Objective: We assessed clinical outcomes and identified factors contributing to cough persistence post-COVID-19. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included adults visited a specialist clinic between 2022 2023. All participants underwent systematic investigation treatment for persistent cough. was at 2- 12-month follow-ups.
