ABSTRACT Given the pressing need for economies to mitigate climate change and champion carbon neutrality, this study investigates threshold effects of financial development foreign direct investment (FDI) on dioxide (CO₂) emissions in Sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA) within Belt Road Initiative (BRI) bloc, taking into account moderating role regulatory environment. Drawing environmental Kuznets curve pollution haven hypothesis, utilizes dynamic generalized method moments (GMM) modeling, proposed by Arellano Bover, analyze panel data from 37 SSA countries spanning 1990–2022. The findings reveal that banking, financial, private sectors, along with FDI outflows, is associated a reduction CO₂ emissions. Conversely, inflows are linked increased A curvilinear relationship observed, where initial increases correlate higher emissions, which decline beyond certain threshold. Stronger regulations enhance positive impact reducing Finally, show significant heterogeneous effect across regional blocs. These underscore critical implementing stringent promoting sustainable practices negative impact. This research provides both theoretical practical insights fostering neutrality agenda advancing Sustainable Development Goal 13.

The global phenomenon of environmental deterioration often signifies the increase in ecological footprint and emissions levels that adversely affect earth's biocapacity. This results from use substantial fossil fuels energy sources, industrialization, extensive economic activities developing countries. In this context, study examine impact depletion, technical cooperation grants, on load capacity factor Pakistan 1970 to 2022. To accomplish this, employs innovative dynamic autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) simulation approach, providing fresh insights contrast with earlier conclusions. authors contribute focusing supply-side dynamics indicators, namely capacity, viewpoint Pakistan, distinguishing our research existing academic publications. Our results, however, demonstrate a markedly favorable effect grants enhancing safety. Furthermore, depletion industrialization dynamics, exacerbating deterioration. Moreover, conducts sensitivity analysis by comparing obtained using those derived footprints. Consequently, we advocate for development realistic policies mitigate adverse impacts via effective sources preserve biodiversity.

The prevailing ecological deficit is devastating the ecosystem which leading toward unsustainability by endangering livings on earth. important drivers of this environment degradation are natural resources depletion, financial development and economic growth investigated to test their impact footprints. EKC hypothesis evaluated led pattern. This study incorporated twenty years (2002–2021) data 146 countries group into various quantiles, geographical regions income wise groups formed World Bank. Keeping in view heterogeneous established through Shapiro-Francia W graphical analysis, panel quantile regression used insensitive data.
