China is the largest total pollution emitter country on globe and a vast literature has investigated environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis in China. Thus, we aim to review empirical studies testing of EKC using different proxies area samples The can be validated by establishing an inverted U-shaped or N-shaped relationship between economic growth. In this Chinese literature, validity found more often than its absence. comparison, higher proportion global compared with local proxies. In the aftermath of 28th Conference Parties (CoP) climate summit in UAE, majority developing countries encounter challenges attaining their objectives carbon neutrality for a sustainable economy. The association economic factors such as growth, governance structures, forest area, renewable energy consumption, technological innovation, and urbanization with environmental elements (carbon footprint) is vital development management strategies. Therefore, this research reveals five selected high-emitting spanning from 1990 to 2022. This utilizes Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) framework investigate interrelationship between these variables. To do so, study employs cross-sectional autoregressive distributed lags (CS-ARDL) statistical technique determine short- long-term impacts variables under investigation on footprint. contrast, mean group (MG) common correlated effect (CCEMG) have been applied robustness. findings revealed that GDP, urbanization, area positive associations footprints, whereas GDP square, effectiveness inverse relationships footprints. These provide all stakeholders valuable policy recommendations advice accelerating transition low-carbon green growth.

Abstract This research delves into whether access to natural resources is a blessing or curse, matter of contention within contemporary literature. Lacking conclusive evidence, particularly the G‐20 countries, this study endeavors establish intricate linkages between economic development, resources, and complexity. A subset economies from 1990 2021 was used analyze results second‐generation CS‐ARDL model. After accounting for variables like corruption, total labor force, gross capital formation, trade openness, inflow foreign direct investment, we find that complexity, corruption formation are significant adverse predictors growth. Natural resource dependence susceptible price fluctuations sustainability concerns, complexity may introduce market volatility challenges, erodes trust transparency, excessive can lead imbalances. On other hand, growth positively impacted by additional effects control variables, including openness force. In crafting its policy recommendations, artfully weaves tapestry resonates with core principles Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These strategic imperatives include adept stewardship cultivation diversity, seamless facilitation trade, fortification against harmonious symphony underscores financial stability nurturing human capital, ultimately painting vivid portrait sustainable
