Abstract This study investigates the impact of geopolitical risk (GPR) on consumption-based carbon (CCO 2 ) emissions as well moderating role environmental policy stringency (EPS) above relationship. Based data collected from 27 countries 1990 to 2020, basic results sample indicate that GPR accelerates CCO emissions. Quantile regression reveal effect is more pronounced in with higher Moreover, EPS weakens escalating The robust test validate findings reported model. heterogeneity indicates greater developing compared developed countries. also proposes these implications based findings: (1) should ensure a stable political environment, establish legal system and promote energy transition; (2) scope taxes be expanded where different tax rates imposed order useful reducing

This study explores the interplay among economic growth, financial globalization, urbanization, fossil fuel consumption, and renewable energy usage their combined impact on load capacity factor in Mexico. research employs as a unique measure of ecological health, facilitating comprehensive ecosystem assessment by sequentially evaluating biocapacity effects. Using time series data spanning from 1971 to 2018, this Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method analyze both long-term short-term dynamics cointegration. The findings reveal that usage, urbanization reduce Mexico’s factor, thereby diminishing environmental quality. In contrast, adoption sources influence globalization exhibit positive effects over long short term. These outcomes remain consistent even when compared with alternative estimation techniques, including dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS), fully modified (FMOLS), canonical cointegrating regression (CCR). As priority, Mexican policymakers should accelerate transition sources, encourage sustainable urban development, foster more ecologically conscious agenda. Furthermore, promoting greener technologies can enhance mitigate degradation. Ultimately, Mexico establish an environment conducive expanding investments encouraging cross-border investments, enabling global trade services, cultivating greater integration capital markets.

Given that the United States of America and European Union are among world's top greenhouse gas emitting economies, it poses yet to be answered questions on whether efficient utilization nonrenewable energy sources or renewable intensification in these economies account for any environmental benefit. To answer inherent questions, this study examines compares performances response efficiency, intensity, environmental-related technologies while controlling natural resource rent urban population over period 1990–2019. By implementing advantage Kernel-Based Regularized Least Squares alongside robustness measures, findings posit significantly mitigates (GHG) emission economies. Importantly, three metrics show louder impact EU, efficiency plays a environmentally desirable role than other two metrics. Conversely, resources urbanization hampers sustainability by increasing GHG Unfortunately, terribly more damaging arising from increased is noticeable EU. These afford concrete policy measures further devised USA entire globe given foresight net zero target.

The concern that over-depleting natural resources (NAT) may somehow be costly for environmental quality is a recurrent topic in empirical analysis. However, the literature has predominantly focused on studying effects of increases NAT use environment, ignoring potential non-linear interactions. current study seeks to expand previous by examining ramifications Russia, home one world's richest resource reserves. In this regard, adopting load capacity factor (LCF) as an indicator, examines how positive and negative changes affect country's well-being within framework N-ARDL model 1992–2021. This uses artificial intelligence unit root asymmetric Fourier causality approach robustness Empirical evidence suggests shocks have deleterious influence LCF, while contribute well-being. Nonetheless, long-term shock decreases LCF greater amount than it. results also demonstrate 'U-shaped' connection between income growth ecological well-being, confirming validity LCC hypothesis. Furthermore, outcomes reveal renewable energy consumption human capital upgrade quality. Therefore, Russian policymakers should focus SDG 7, 12, 13 targets, which refer substantially increasing primary secondary education, share green total mix, effective management utilization.
