The mining sector generates massive quantities of mine tailings in response to the ever-growing demand for mineral products. Mine (MTs) pose a major environmental problem because challenges associated with their management and storage. Depending on type ore extracted processing techniques employed, there is possibility extracting valuable components from these tailings, such as rare earth elements (REEs). However, optimal utilization MTs should focus repurposing all waste, not just economically ones. This review offers insights into MT types, characterization, impacts. It evaluates hydrometallurgical bio-hydrometallurgical routes promising technologies recovery REEs highlights mechanical activation's potential pretreatment enhanced REE extraction. study explores reuse options post-extraction residues, including construction materials via geopolymerization. goal this present current best practices that enable industry fully recycle both residual MTs. An integrated approach combining reprocessing applications can transform circular economy resources.

An econometric model was developed to analyze the contribution of various factors gross value added agricultural, manufacturing, and service sectors in United States. The study found that variables such as rare earth element mining, employment it generates, domestic consumption, imports, prices certain elements significantly impact economic sectors. models showed a good fit met necessary statistical assumptions. Rare are essential for wide range technological products, with China being leading producer consumer. This has raised concerns about dependence on other countries. These economy’s primary, secondary, tertiary used agriculture, services. elements’ mining processing complex expensive processes, demand is expected continue increase future.
